Wouldn't it make more sense to crossover with one of the Samurai or Ninja teams? I know MMPR has more brand awareness but still.

Technically MMPR dabbled in that in their 3rd season with the Ninjazords and Shogunzords, obtained from the mystical ninja Ninjor. (aka, when they ran out of both Zyuranger and Dairanger footage and started using "Ninja Sentai Kakuranger" footage).

That would imply Hasbro cares about a team besides MMPR. It’s their biggest issue with the brand.

Is it Hasbro's fault or the fans who only care about MMPR? I'm more of a Transformers guy but if it's the same situation then anything not G1 or Beast Wars doesn't sell well so they always fall back on those when new series flop. Earthspark was the recent new series that flopped so back they went to G1. I don't know anyone who cares about PR that isn't an older guy who just grew up with MMPR.

Thats because your stuck in a bubble. There are absolutely a bunch of older people who like more seasons than just MMPR. I've actually seen lost of people around my age talk more about the Disney seasons than the first Saban Era as being their favorite.

Thats all well and good but the Samurai rangers have CANONICALLY been around since the Edo period. Its stated in the show. The main cast are all descendants of those rangers.
