Quick correction: the Spider-Man: Octo-Girl and X-Men manga aren’t available yet.

It would be awesome if they expanded it beyond needing a smart phone/device that can download apps. I've been subscribed to the Shonen Jump Reader service for years now but I can't actually give them more money for the expanded service using the same laptop.

Could try something like BlueStacks, to emulate a phone on PC? It feels a little less seamless than working with software written directly for PC, but still has worked pretty well on the whole for me (though not for this specifically). |

Does it not work just reading via the Viz website on a laptop? I think I've only used phone or tablet, but I've read several things through the internet browser instead of the app (since a few series can only be accessed that way). |

Nope! The "Join to read" links take you to a sign up page where you either download the app from the Apple App store or via Google Play(which doesn't view my laptop as a device my google account is connected to). There is no browser viewer for this pile of manga, even though the SJ reader is right next to it on their main page. It's frustrating when they could easily use the same system. |

They do use the same system. You can still view every chapter of Viz Manga on your browser, just like you can with Shonen Jump. And you can't subscribe to Shonen Jump through their website anymore, just like Viz Manga. You were grandfathered in on your SJ account, if you cancel for a month you can't re-subscribe through their website. From what I've heard, this is likely an Apple restriction, since they don't get a cut of the subscription price if you aren't paying for it through them. |

You can read the Shonen Jump subscription on web: https://www.viz.com/shonenjump For example, I can read the vault chapters on the Undead Unluck series page since I have a subscription I would recommend reaching out to their customer support if you've been paying for a Shonen Jump subscription but haven't figured out how to use it on web. https://www.viz.com/company-contact Edit: ohhhhh I get what you're saying, your subscription needs to get activated via their app which you need an Android/iOS device to activate. I don't know how to get around that |

*gestures to BlueStacks again* Tested it just now, FWIW; worked fine for installing the Shonen Jump app on PC. Annoying to have to use a workaround of course, but works if people want a way to do it. |

And you cannot access to Viz's Shonen Jump because of geoblocking. |

You're able to access about the equivalent through Manga Plus now iirc with a subscription, but I think there might be some Viz-only series still locked on the Shonen Jump app. |
