They're not lying when they say DBZ put Toonami on the map and that the franchise has been their rock ever since. Without Dragon Ball, I doubt Toonami would've lasted nearly as long as it did on Cartoon Network, and I don't think it would've been revived on Adult Swim.

By the way, this marathon also marked Toonami's 27th anniversary since it premiered on Cartoon Network on March 17, 1997.
