Ohhhh boy can't wait for the internet to talk about J.C doing season 3 as if it's the worst sin of the entire anime scene.

IMO Season was the best looking J.C Staff show in a while, and taken the fact with how overbokked they were in 2019 the fact that it looked great by J.C stanard was a miracle.

the fact that season 1 happen was just because all the stars was aligned back then.

At least I hope this season has an ending. Garou being left as a cliffhanger in season 2 was so bad that I actually thought there would be another episode the next week to give closure. It felt like the producers didn't plan the season at all.

I don't think that's as much of a compliment as you think it is. It doesn't change the fact that the compositing was horrendous (those metal textures and gradients...), the artwork super inconsistent and the animation ranged from stiff to janky. (bless Aoki for his contributions)
Not to mention the nonexistent direction.

And current JC Staff has arguably even more shows now. So it's hard to stay optimistic.

season 2 was atrocious in every possible standard. and season 3 will undoubtably be garbage as well.

I'm gonna maintain a child-like optimism that Season 3 will be a return to Season 1 form. I hope we get a fun story this time.

Season 2 turned out to be a commentary about bullying but I still remember Mob Psycho 100 having its serious overtones despite how ridiculous some parts used to be.

If this is animated faithfully it will be the best arc ever of all time. spoiler[It should take 2 seasons, and the Manga was straight action with each S-rank hero growing multiple times over the course if the arc. This is the most hype I've been for any anime no contest, and I am so ready to worship our Lady and Savior Tatsumaki, Terrible Tornado in all of her animated glory!] Let the King Engine roar!!

A bit odd and concerning that the core staff was announced but the actual director wasn't. That being said, this could be a pre-animated PV, but at least the compositing already looks miles better than S2's.

How can they have an ending when the manga is ongoing? The current Garou/Monster Association arc goes on till chapter 170 and the second season ended right as chapter 84 ended.

Season 3 would need to be 24 episodes to cover all that without cutting loads (they better damn not cut loads).

Admittedly, I didn't like S2's animation in comparison to S1's animation, but I don't actually dislike it either. I'm excited for Season 3, and glad that we finally got some more news about it, as it's been awhile.

I do hope that season 3 looks better than 2, but anyone who hopes that it looks like season 1 is dreaming. That was a stars align moments that we may never see again.

As much as everyone would love MADHOUSE to work on OPM, they already busy with Chi. and the Overlord Film, coming this year. There's also Trillion Game. I think Frieren really took a lot out of them, but it shows that they love the series because every episode has been amazing.
