Once again in these reviews, its always fanservice as a negative.
Did people forget this is anime? the violent and perverted medium, its been like that for decades?
Is fanservice ever allowed to be a positive in a review? I feel like if youre an anime fan and youre complaining about that stuff...maybe you should watch a different genre of entertainment.

If you're going to include fanservice then you should at least work for it, make it interesting and not just contrived bullshit like "you didn't take me with you, so as punishment we're going to bath together!". . . like, come-on.

I liked the cast and the premise but the actual "games" premise and rules (or lack there of) left a lot to be desired. I feel like it reads much better as a book compared to how the anime executed it.
Honestly the fanservice is pretty minimal and short for when it's there.

Once again ill say, this is anime. It comes with the territory.
Man something like To Love Ru or DxD would never last in today's climate with normies, that is for sure.

Lol what yer on about, we still get some good around ecchi anime per year.
Also gacha games with those content are highly popular in the west like azur lane or esp. blue archive which has the best cute and funny content.

Now to this series.
The anime bombed heavily in japan and was extremely unpopular, as they changed and made the anime less lewd than the light novel and manga.
Heck they made the shirayuki less voluptous in the anime, while also parallely selling a really lewd figure of her where her breasts are identical to the light novel design.
This also didn't make the core fanbase of the light novel happy about the anime, they hated it immensely, the anime had one of lowest rankings on the jp niconico page for anime rankings.
All in all it was a failed rushed adaption which betrayed its core audience and also couldn't get modest viewers in which hate fan service by lowering the fan service amount which was present in the light novel and manga.
The anime bombed in jp and low viewership and low rankings in jp and the west, and also the light novels didn't get a boost.
We can say confidently that the anime failed miserably.

This was one of the worst shows in recent history. Everything about it was just mediocre.
Everything felt like it was made up as the story progressed. The rules for the games, which you where constantly being told of how important they are, where forgotten or ignored. Not to mention the actual games themselves where uninspiring.

As a reader, my expectation of a review is that the reviewer assesses a series on both the story it is telling and how well the series tells it. Last time I checked, it's not called "story-service."
If the show wants to be raunchy, then it should tell a raunchy story.
