People are saying they change this seasons final, which may result in serios deviations of the movie plot compared to the source.

Seems like the Film will cover the rest of LN Vol.3, which is great.

Not really, but a key event relevant to that arc did happen off screen. I think the movie will clarify. The Kagejitsu did already state that said key event did happen, the main anime just didn't show it.

For anyone wondering the major change is the ending. In the LN Shadow and Beta go to Japan and are found by the group she is in. Beta is funny in Japan and learned Japanese in 3 days and stole a bunch of electronics (that exist in the anime like cameras)

I prefer more tv seasons, but I hope this movie is worthwhile.

You mean Volume 4. The first two arcs of this season covered Volume 3.

If it's released outside of Japan. Too many film extensions of serial anime never leave Japan, or take forever to do so. It's been more than nine years since I went to the opening day of Space Battleship Yamato 2199: Odyssey of the Celestial Ark. The only English language version of any theatrical feature film in that universe (not counting the OVA/TV episode volume releases) that's been released was the English-subbed Japanese release of Odyssey of the Celestial Ark. That's still not been released on media or on streaming services in the English-speaking world, nor have the more recent two Yamato 2205: The New Voyage with Yamato 3199's release date likely to be announced sometime in the next 12 months.

The Celestial Ark movie was done by a different production committee and the series was licensed through then-Funimation, which has a spotty track record when it comes to releasing movies tied to TV shows.
The Eminence movie will be via Sentai who usually licenses them and gets them out the door (for example, Girls und Panzer Der Film, Non Non Biyori Vacation, the Made in Abyss films, a bunch of KyoAni movies, etc.)

Yes of course Vol. 4, not 3. Fatfingers strike again!
I think this is totally fine. We had 32 Episodes for 3.5 Volumes, that's a bit more than 9 Episodes per volume. Seeing as the next arc is one of the more condensible ones a movie makes total sense. It also gives the author more time to put out one or two more volumes so a potential S3 could adapt Vol.5 & 6 and still have material left.

Yes, it was a change; but the change made sense as it referenced E01S01 and "closed the circle" and set the movie up at the same time. The only thing I'm a bit peeved is that we don't see Beta being transferred through the portal as well. They should've made that an after credits scene instead of a Kage-Jitsu! episode
