That's interesting.
Could it be, Ghibli does not further want to support Elons plaything? Maybe one of his recent changes did piss them off. |

Well has Studio Ghibli shut down any other social media account beside Twitter/X? If they didn't shut down their Facebook, Instagram, and Threads (assuming they have a profile) but just shut down Twitter, I guess they had a good reason for that.

My favorite thing about the article is that the author doesn't even bother with the "X" bullshit and just calls it Twiiter...you know, the name everyone who doesn't have their head up Elon's ass still calls it.

Was their other social media accounts made at the same time as this one? To me this just seems like they made it for the movie and now that it's going out they closed it.

Yeah, other folks are trying to find some deeper reason... But it sound to me more like they decided to shut down an account they weren't really using anyway. |

Their post literally said they made the account only to promote the one movie, so yes, that's pretty much it. But Elon Musk lives rent free in people's heads they have to find some ulterior motive or conspiracy as well |

I know the article literally says that. As someone else pointed out only their twitter was taken down but I was more curious about if the other accounts like facebook were made at a similar time. I agree that to me it looks like this was made for the film mostly and since that's out it's going down. |

Becuase as we all know, Twitter is only available in America and nobody from any other country has issues with Elon |

I can assure 99% of humans don't know who Elon is.
Besides, I said "most", you transforming that in "nobody from any other country" its the textbook definition of an strawman argument, as such I wont be answers you any further since you are discussing in bad faith. |

Responding to the single reply of your original comment isn't a "discussion". You made a silly comment and got a proper response to it. Just take your ball and go home.

Transforming what I said and completely changing the meaning is by no means a "proper response".
Now, you seem to think that most people across the world care about what happens in USA and thinking otherwise its "silly"... don't you think that's arrogant? |

Isn't it weird to make it seem like this is people in the US centering themselves when his choices wrt Twitter affect Twitter globally?

Changes on Twitter?
Yes, that's a technical reason and a completely valid reason to leave the platform. But, the original comments are about Ghibli closing its account for not wanting to support Musk himself. Immediately jumping to the conclusion that a Japanese company, whom love to be as far away of controversies as possible, left Twitter because its owner is considered a jerk in USA its kinda arrogant. This remembers me a saying I heard once: "Its important in USA, thus, its the most important topic in the world". |
