I’ve been keeping tabs since Fall 2016 but as of this update, CR has officially broken their record of the highest number of shows licensed in one season. Fall 2016 was 49 (1/4 of it were shorts) and this Fall is currently at 51 and possibly more.

Yea I been noticing that CR is getting a bit more aggressive with licencing more and more shows lol guess since there’s a bit more competition with Hidive, Netflix, and Disney/Hulu getting animes.

Holding out hope they'll announce Otona Precure the day of release. I really don't wanna have to wait for fansubs (like with the original Yes Precure 5/GoGo...)

CR didn't specify that this was their "final update" like they usually do so they'll probably announce the new Precure and Idolmaster later.

Now I’m just waiting for DOG SIGNAL. Though I’m pretty sure it will remain unlicensed just like Blue Orchestra

This puts a smile in a lot of anime fans here in latin america, having some of this titles in a platform that doesn't block its titles to us, unlike Hidive which locked the demon master sword and apparently the vampire princess will have the same fate.

Hooray for Yuzuki! I was afraid that one wasn’t going to get licensed.

Their simuldub line up page isn't updated as Spy x Family isn't on the list. Just give it a few days for them to update it.

I should congratulate you because HIDIVE is streaming less and less shows with every passing season. At this rate they will close shop by 2025 or better yet be bought up by your beloved Crunchyroll.

Your dream of a monopoly is very close to happening.

You should congratule John Ledford too for his mediocre business management, I mean if AMC Networks wouldn't bought Sentai it would have gone bankrupt like the other companies he founded and headed in the past. And again, I want competition but for me that word means no exclusivities, every platform should have access to every seasonal out there so we can choose where to watch like Vinland Saga S2 and Zom 100, not a lot of platforms with exclusive titles to their own service.

They just celebrated their biggest win ever in Oshi no Ko. I'd imagine securing streaming rights for the 2nd season ain't cheap.

They also secured rights for The Dangers in My Heart S2 and the currently airing Eminence in Shadow S2, you can bet those two were expensive too, I'm sure they knew AMC Networks was going to close the cash pipe so before anything happened they payed those in advance and the rest of their funds were allocated to pay whatever titles they could, but they were betting against Crunchyroll and the licensors itselfs which probably asked for more money, and Sentai just couldn't raise any offer for what they wanted to pick.

Let's be honest here, AMC doesn't seem like they're doing jack shit for Hidive. If AMC really was "serious" about anime like they claimed, Hidive would be licensing an equal amount of shows as CR is while also improving their laughable service... but it's been the complete opposite for the past year and a half. I do agree that licensing Oshi no Ko was probably a tremendous gamble Hidive took but it doesn't look like it's paying off at all.

At the beginning of 2022 AMC Networks gave John Ledford autonomy and money to run Sentai but instead of starting by improving Hidive's outdated platform and app, he only chosed to acquire titles (which he's very good at), from spring season of 2022 Hidive started to have bangers until this past summer season, when the lack of funds from AMC due to its cost cutting process hited them. If he would had a better project strategy to run Hidive, by now they would have a few more titles in a better platform, but as we say in my country "The 'would had' does not exist". The current Sentai/Hidive status is the result of bad planning/business strategy he they themselves chosed to follow.
