This is where someone with a lot of money comes, wins the auction and gifts the card back. I know that, even if it was for a good cause,if I had something done for me that was one of a kind I wouldn't want to part with it

The kid designed it specifically after Trunks intentionally.

It's cool that "a portion" of the money will go back to the charity, but it seems weird do this within a year of Takahashi passing, doesn't it?

Probably not a coincidence. Takahashi was pretty strict with how his art was treated. Etiher they now can legally do it or at the very least waited until Takashi died so he wouldn't see in the news that the card he made for a dying kid is being flipped for some cash now. I mean, it is his to do whatever he wants with it, don't get me wrong, but the timing is kind of interesting.

Honestly, I'm not sure "flipped for some cash" is the right way to describe "used to raise money for the charity that originally helped him".

It'll depend how much goes to charity for people to determine if this is just to get some money or actually altruistic. 5%? 50%? 75%?

I mean for all we know he needs it for life, health or education himself. Since we know absolutely nothing about him besides the fact that he lost a chunk of his life to fighting cancer.
