Let's see:

Chrno Crusade - Seen two episodes thus far. Loving it. While it does have a heavy subtext of Christian ideas (and me being a Methodist), I like how the show plays out with its interesting blend of humor and seriousness, arguably better executed than the blend found in "Full Metal Panic!". This is definitely one I hope will arrive on American shores soon, and since ADV has the manga, that shouldn't be a problem.

Gunslinger Girl - Two episodes. Slooooow. The second episode consisted a lot of footage from episode one! But I'm still quite intrigued by this series and where it can head (that and I love "Noir"). It can easily be a disappointment, but I'm quite lenient so maybe it won't...

Fullmetal Alchemist - Two episodes. Very interesting world these guys are set in, where alchemy and its laws govern everything. Sure, the characters are a little predictable, but the episodes themselves are fun to watch. I just hope it doesn't become a monster-of-the-week type deal the entire way.

Mermaid's Forest - Saw the first episode. Wasn't very impressed. The pacing of the episode was too inconsistent, and some scenes weren't executed as well as they could've been. I might watch the second episode just to give it another shot, but I don't know...

Maburaho - First episode almost made me want to give up on the series, but the second episode somewhat redeemed it. This series does remind me of harem anime like "Love Hina", a show I detest, but it has slightly more charm somehow. I'm sure most of the series is dedicated to fanservice and stuff, but there's quite a bit of potential lying there...

That's all for now.

The only new anime that I have seen is Crhno Crusade and Cromartie.

Cromartie was hilarious for the first few eps, but it hasn't been as funny lately.

Chrno Crusade is a big surprise to me. After reading the spread in Newtype USA a while back, I expected it to be another fanservice anime with no story. While there are a few jiggles here and there, it is kept to a minimum. The story isn't all that complicated (or really original for that matter) but it is not as devoid of thought that as I expected it to be. There is an excellent blend of humor and action with a typical world affecting plot thrown in for good measure.

That's the best part. When there is fan-service, it's 1920's style ankle underwear. Classic!

Also watching Kurogane and Galaxy Railways. 13 eps into Kurogane, wishing it would move the plot along somewhat, but good fun anyway.

Galaxy Railways. What can I say, I Matsumoto's work. Harlock look alike+Trains+Space+Budget-Plot= Surprised

I totally agree with what you say though. The first five episodes or so were great, since then it has slowed down alot. We need more fight scenes!!!

Hmm… This Season I've seen:

Maburaho – 1-6

Well, I can definitely say it original in it’s non-original plot. However this does not make the series bad at all. I found that it was just right when I needed to lighten my day. It is very much like Love Hina but takes a more ethical stance on life. Note: Kazuki is less abused… Rating B+

Chrno Crusade – 1-5

Definitely a must, if you can imagine Hellsing with a greater religious influence and in a different setting, this is what you get.
A fast and addicting series, you end up skipping anthropology to finish the next episode. Note: Don’t think that just because there are religious references it’s a bad series… you would wrong… Rating: A-

Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu - All

What a show… This action packed sequel will make you a military fan-boy and laugh in seat as if there was no tomorrow. There will be so don’t worry… the only thing you need to worry about is when your mom will call you down for dinner during you anime marathon upstairs.
Rating: B

Fullmetal Alchemist – 1-13

An engaging series so far, it has many qualities… At times it is very serious and disheartening and on the other end it can be very funny and fast passed action… If you are a youngster or weak hearted, I highly suggest that you do not watch this series. You may not sleep and you risk of a heart attack will increase. Rating: A-

I'm getting around to finishing up Serial Experiments Lain. I'm working on Peacemaker Kurogane (because I liked the Shinsengumi more than Kenshin Wink ) Full Metal Panic is also an engaging series, though I'm not too swift to spend money on it.

Is Peacemaker good? A friend of mine advised me not to bother with it, but it's hard to ignore a series involving the Shinsengumi.

Well, first and foremost I should point out that Matusmoto's work always has that distinctive (and lovely in my personal estimation) look to it. I haven't heard too much about Galaxy Railways, but I'm willing to be it has something to do with Galaxy Express 999.9. In which case, it is Harlock related.

Matusumoto fandom is a cult within the anime fandom cult, what can I say?

I'm really liking it so far. It feels more historical than Kenshin did, but that may just be me. It took me a little bit to get over the shounen, "I'm gonna be teh best [______] in the whole world (killer, in this case)" format, but I find the characters to be very believable.

To be quite honest I hate Peace Maker Kurogane. Tetsu is a walking 15 year old idiot who doesn't know when to shut his mouth and be quiet.

Now I'm a big fan of the Shinsengumi and Jappanese history and they portray most of the squad leaders inaccuratly to the point where it is not even funny. Okita (Leader of the 1st squad) acts like a stero typical modern day female teenager. I could stand that to an extent, but what they did to Hajime Saito (Leader of the 3rd squad) threw me up a wall. First off he can talk to "ghost and spirits" and he is very depressed. Nothing like he is in Rurouni Kenshin.

Its just another one of those shonen anime titles where you get a 15 year old kid who says, "I want to become stronger!" Just imagine if Yahiko was the star of Rurouni Kenshin.

Oh, and you'll be lucky the find more than 1-3 minutes of acual sword play in the series

I am currently watching:

Chrno Crusade: Really neat idea, although I would like some more backround info on Chrno, as well as a more developed relationship between him and Rosette as the season progresses.

Peace Maker Kurogane: This show is the best samurai show since Kenshin. It is very good, and I believe it to be the best show currently on Japanese airwaves.

Fullmetal Alchemist: I like the alchemy concept, since that has always piqued my interst. Character development is getting better, and the action isn't half bad, either.
