The visual gives me a brightful an happy impression, the opposite to the original series. I'm gonna wait for it with some good booze.

I guess this is another way the government is trying to encourage young people to drink more to help the economy: https://www.npr.org/2022/08/25/1119480772/japan-is-urging-its-youth-to-drink-more-alcohol

I would have thought people were consuming more alcohol during the pandemic.

The original series is one of my favorite slice of life anime. Can’t wait for this new one!

It is ironic as they spent so many years in promoting that alcohol is bad for your health and people need to wisen up cause it is also addictive and yet they have substantial amount of there industry catered to both production and selling of alcohol.

This what happens when you don't invest in other economic substitutes to replace an resource with another to elevate the cost so now you have further problems in business section but also your encouraging another health issue. Pure hypocrisy and irony if u ask me.

Ryuu is so much more handsome in the anime.

The Japanese government is trying to promote drinking among young people because the monies collected by taxing alcohol have been declining. I wonder if that has anything to do with this unlikely remake.

It may be connected to the whole "Japanese Government needs tax revenue from alcohol, as well as protect the existence of the industry" thing, which leaves a slight bitter taste in my mouth (kinda like beer).

Still, I am happy to hear of this adaptation. Maybe it will also generate interest for the original work and the first anime adaptation.
