Hopefully they’ll green-light a second season of the anime, so we can have a complete adaptation.

A 2nd season would likely only have 14 manga chapters to adapt from, given the anime only covered the 1st 23 chapters and the manga is currently on Chp 36, one more till the end.

Elsewhere, some readers on other forums think (not officially confirmed) that the manga is ending due to cancellation, on the grounds that the manga didn't get significant sales boosts from the anime and that there were still some plot directions that had potential for further development.

I've been reading this digitally and loving it. I'm looking forward to the 5th volume to see where it's leading since it's ending so soon.

Wouldn't be the first time that happened, as seen with Keijo!!!!!!!!, which ended mere months after the anime finished airing.

Such a shame because initially I thought the idea of Keijo!!!!!! was so dumb - gave it a read and was so hooked instantly (it read more of a like a shounen manga) so it was fun seeing them use their techniques. Was super bummed it stopped being fan translated before it ended. Maybe someone has finally finished it by now?

That's because it is a Shonen; it ran in Weekly Shonen Sunday.

Right. I know this. I just meant in general people passed it off as some just random ecchi show with no actual heart in it, but it ended up being a compelling story.

That's a bit of a bummer! I really loved the anime and the series!

I guess I'll catch up on the entire story through the manga now.

This was one of my favorite shows this year and it was surprisingly very heartwarming and surprisingly emotional at times and also happily gay. I would love to see more of the anime be made or at least the manga licensed. I'm sad to see it ending so soon.

Looking at the raws for chapters 34 and 35 which just came out, I think it was a cancellation too. There's a total feeling of "gotta wrap this up now!" A rushed feeling. A big bad shows up out of nowhere and blows up both sides, Desumi sacrifices herself to win which is then negated with a Deus-Ex-Ultimate Phantom. Little humor, total seriousness in the final battle. It totally smacks of just having a rushed final send-off to the whole series.

Its really too bad, LaWD only got to volume 6(?) before ending. At least they are getting a conclusion of a sort though. They might have just pulled the plug completely. I hate it when they do that to series.

Not to kick a manga while it’s down but I guess Love doesn’t conquer all.
