I love ya, man. You're just... brilliant. Quirkily hilarious.
Congratulations on two years of Click-ety goodness!

Hah! Good one about Beach airing so late that people have to be defiant of their parents's insistance to get up and go to church. I actually DO sort of fit in that category...now I have to go to bed an hour later if I want to see death note in the cst. Which stinks 'cause I really do want to pay better attention on sunday mornings .

Thanks to you, I can always count on knowing when my favorite shows are on. Especially since my local TV guide doesn't even list CN!

Congratulations on two years!
Yeah I was wondering what ever happened to Funi's release of Case Closed - it was a bold move on their part that I'm grateful they attempted, but even now it seems like the DVD offerings have decreased ( looking on RightStuf, at least...)
I keep hearing good things about Samurai Pizza Cats, I'll have to check that one out.

Quote: | “MANNIX: The Anime.” Yes, hard-drinkin', hard-fightin' tough guy Joe Mannix, back in the saddle in a not-too-distant dystopian future where only his two fists and lots of car chases separate justice from, uh, injustice. There were also lots and lots of cool-looking aliens and robots. And instead of his sassy black secretary, Anime Mannix From the Future has a cute, spunky little girl orphan (to, y'know, get that “moe” crowd watching) as well as her lovably ostentatious mecha guardian to handle his paperwork. In a pinch, the two can team up to form MOE-BOT, which Anime Mannix From the Future uses to mow down bad guys and is also in negotiations with several leading toy manufacturers for marketing purposes. In short, lots of action, no pretension, and drama in the form of drinking, fistfights, and exploding cars. With robot and aliens. When I awoke, I knew I had been guided by some divine force, telling me to preach this message on high from the tallest pedestal: “A Mannix anime would solve ALL problems. Forever.” |
wow i think you just totally ripped off GunXSword

At least until the non-ethanol use of corn is outlawed.

That, and I can't think of any other anime properties that could garner a 40-million dollar opening weekend in US theaters. |
It's hard enough to think of non-Potter properties period that could pull it off. My guess is adding the anime qualifier leaves it alone atop the roost.

I liked this show once, but now the dub kinda ruins it for me. If anyone hasn't seen it before, watch Shin Chan first. Lots of it. Then try watching this show. You will be too distracted to notice the "predictable yet highly entertaining Nancy Drew-style detective antics."

lol @ the article. But I am a little confused; so is Princess Mononoke really airing, or was that just a part of your retrospective? Because I've read that awsome analogy before.

It's a late reply, but I would also like to wish you congrats on the two-year anniversary! Keep at it!
BTW, did anybody notice that Speed Grapher started airing on IFC two days ago?
