2 final arc articles in a row. What a day. I'm looking forward to see how Noragami ends now.

I haven't kept up with this series for a while now. Can anyone tell what's going down? Or that if it's worth picking up at all?

Hard to believe we're almost near the end.
Now if only Bones could go ahead and bring back the anime...

Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t Aragoto stray from the events of the manga?

Very worth it! The last/current arc has been pretty long but has been a wild ride. I recommend catching up if you can rather than just getting spoilers.

It did slightly in the final episode that things were slightly different, but it can still continue anyways without having to attempt to realign the story.

Good news to hear! But I'll also be sad to say goodbye to the characters.
There is too much to summarize for anyone wanting to catch up. A lot has happened, but the manga has always been great as always.
Think another anime is inevitable.

Basic run-down of what all's happened since the end of the anime:
Pretty much immediately following the end of the anime, the plot shifts its focus to the "Gods' Secret": the original names and memories of the regalia. It turns out that in order for a spirit to be eligible to become a regalia, they need to have died an unjust death that the gods failed to prevent. Therefore, the gods summon them to their side for a second chance at life, but in return their original names and memories of their mortal life are sealed by the "brand" that grants them their new regalia name. If a regalia ever learns their mortal name, their regalia name shatters and the flood of memories of their death causes them to turn into evil spirits angry at the gods for failing to save them. And it just so happens that Nora's regalia form under Yato's father is a staff that can shatter a regalia's name just by coming into contact with it. Needless to say, this makes Yato's dad basically untouchable by the gods because he can irrevocably corrupt their regalia. Most of the story post-anime deals with the gods trying to shield their regalia from their mortal lives with varying degrees of success while Yato's father trolls the hell out of heaven. This final arc deals with Yukine, and now Kazuma, getting their names cracked open and getting a peek into their past lives.
