NEWS: Ultraman 3D CG Anime Gets Final Season in 2023

I had a feeling that we would get another season when season 2 was only 6 episodes so we could fill out the traditional one-cour anime, but looks like it'll be the final season.

The manga is still ongoing so I'm kind of curious how they'll conclude it. Obviously the final boss is anime Zetton, but will Leo and Astra show up?

I imagine S2 will be covered on TWIA, so I'll save the bulk of my comments for that...

But in relation to this teaser, it definitely feels like production plans for this anime got cut / cancelled. As a result, we are gonna get an anime original ending. But at least NetFlix is giving the series a proper ending rather than just getting rid of it unceremoniously like they do many other shows.

Doubt we will see the Leo Brothers. Their whole storyline involves being hired to assassinate Adad, and I simply don't see it happening since we seem to be rushing towards a finale.

In other words: the seven remaining episodes we were supposed to get last week but didn't because Netflix are dirty liars.

Did they even get to the spoiler[Bemular reveal] in S2 or Rena's arc?
Kind of a shame but not surprising I think.

At least the manga's still ongoing I guess.

This is one of the major differences: in the manga this was revealed at the end of a double digit volume, in the anime they drop this bombshell in the 1st episode.

Ah yes, Ultraman. The anime absolutely nobody asked for but we got anyway because of Japan's obsession with nostalgia. [expletive] sad.

What are you talking about lol

The manga is super popular and the live action shows are on an upswing in popularity.

I actually kind of liked this show. It was definitely nothing groundbreaking - but I found it decent in terms of that CG animated style action.

Mayhaps I got used to seeing so many bad ones that this one was just so decent it compelled me to keep watching.
