It's amazing that last year was the first time the Top 30 was dominated by a single console in over 30 years but since then we've already had 8 weeks where the Top 30 only consists of Switch games with no PS4/5 game in sight.
I'm not sure how Sony feels about its hardware salesin Japan, but apparently despite the fact that more than a million units sold were reported, it is most likely that half of the consoles have been sold to other countries.
I've said it before but I'm surprised that Capcom and Konami are the only developers who have had major successes on the Switch, I find it very hard to believe that others could not.

Yeah, I forgot to mention Minecraft, but I was specifically mentioning Japanese third-party developers, not to mention that Minecraft was already availabe for the WiiU and 3DS, Momotaro and MH: Rise were developed for the Switch (though MH: Rise is now available on PC too). I just find it interesting that no other Japanese third-parties can make a multiple million seller on the Switch.

I think they could but it has to be something the switch audience would engage with…..and maybe something where standards wouldn’t have to be lowered too much to run on the switch.

I'd say JRPGs would be one of the genres that would fit the bill in engagement especially with the million+ unit seller successes like Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, and even Dragon Quest XI S. I'll grant you the latter option being the sticking point.
