Devastating news. For my money Ms. Nobumoto was the most talented writer to ever work on an anime series. Bebop and Wolf's Rain are both among my favorite of favorite series, and that's due in no small part to her brilliant work. Rest in peace, and thank you so much for sharing your talents with the world.

That's awful, so young. She is very under appreciated in the world of Anime, when people talk about Bebop they only ever talk about Watanabe and Kanno and her contribution are hardly ever talked about. Her own original title Wolf's Rain is a very underrated title.

Incredibly sad, I haven't gotten around to watching anything she's worked on but I've only heard amazing things about them.

Damn, she was one of the giants in the industry. Another heavy loss.......this year has claimed so much already. My heart goes out to her family and friends, may she be at peace.

May she rest in peace, I haven't yet had to chance to see all of her work but I absolutely loved what she gave to Bebop, Dandy and Tokyo Godfathers.

She was one of the best in the industry, and the only three anime series she was the head writer on (Macross Plus, Cowboy Bebop and Wolf's Rain) are all among my all-time favorites. I wish she had worked on more anime titles, but it seems most of her works are live-action TV dramas. If her last script was Carole & Tuesday episode 15, then it was a hell of a note for her brilliant career to end on. May she rest in peace.

She wrote some of the best episodes, including the show's conclusion.

I suspect it was because she smoked a lot of cigarettes-I had a dear friend who was a chain smoker pass away from the same thing. You'd think it would be lung cancer but in any case RIP.

Rest in peace, Keiko Nobumoto. She contributed to the medium. I always wished that she would've contributed more frequently, because her writing was unmatched.

Some of my favorite things are tied to her contributions to a golden era of anime awesomeness! She was out of the game for quite awhile, likely due to her illness, but what she accomplished lives on. May God grant her eternal rest...
