She is more like a "lighter" version of Hotaru Shidare (from Dagashi Kashi) from the same mangaka.

I was wondering why the art reminded me of Dagashi Kashi haha

I really hope this wasn't supposed to get me excited about the show...
It only told there's a boy and a girl vampire...
btw kinda hate this wide eyed character art style that I've seen in at least 2 other anime. (dakashi kashi I think, and that magician girl one)

I too was surprised how much I was reminded of Dagashi Kashi before I found out it was by the same author.
There seems to be a lot of vampire anime lately. And another vampire romance! I'm down.

You bet, thank Joe Biden for that. When republicans return to the white house, the trend changes to zombies.

Let's see ... character design like Dagashi Kashi
Dynamic between newcomer slightly unhinged "active" girl and passive boy ... like Dagashi Kashi
Love triangle between new "active" girl, passive dense boy and said boy's childhood friend ... like Dagashi Kashi
Just kidding. Particularly since those basic tropes have been par for the course for shonen romance anime for like 25 years. One thing that I find curious is that there doesn't seem to be a horror angle. So what do all these vampires do for food?
Also, the synopsis on MAL has some interesting info on the MC. "Kou Yamori seems like a typical middle school student on the surface. Relatively good at studies and amiable with his classmates, he puts a lot of effort into maintaining this facade. One day, however, he decides to stop pretending and quits school, developing insomnia as a result of having no daytime outlet for his energy. When taking walks alone at night, he feels marginally better, though he is aware that his inability to sleep should be considered a serious problem."
Is there more stuff with the MC going on? Or is it just going to serve as a very thin plot device for the MC to be wandering around at night to meet a vampire and ultimately decide to want to become a vampire himself that is going to be ditched as soon as the plot gets going never to be spoken of again? Like it was with Infinite Stratos? Where they start off letting you think that it is going to be this fascinating social political sci-fi show exploring a setting where women have the military - and as a result political, economic and social - power and men are subordinates, sort of like Armitage and Vandread from back in the day. But nah ... it was just a setup to put the guy in a harem setup at an all-girl's school and was immediately forgotten afterwards. If they handle this show like that and never deal with why he was already a nightwalker in the first place, that will be disappointing.
