This somehow topped every show for me in a packed season. As someone who has never liked a single Trigger show, regularly steers clear of 3D, mecha and tokusatsu, and who was eagerly awaiting the 3rd season of Fruits Basket as a huge fan of the 2nd, it's quite the shocker. It's that good, IMO. Hope it sticks the landing.

I know Kamen Rider is getting the anime treatment soon, makes me hope they do a Super Sentai Anime series one day.

Hyper Agents and Kaiju can't manifest in the real world

I wouldn't be completely sure about that one.
IF we take the 2015 Boys Invent Great Hero Animator Expo short as some semblance of cannon to an abridged Gridman Sigma, stuff like monsters and Hyper Agents can in fact effect the real world, whether they would appear as mirages (as seen by the monsters in the short) or as physical beings by outside viewers is up in the air.

It didn't really apply in SSSS Gridman spoiler[given it was largely in Akane's dreamscape/fictional world taken advantage of by Alexis] but Dynazenon probably won't pull that twice.

My theory is that there's a multiverse thing happening, similar to DC's Arrowverse TV shows.
Each instalment is its own plot in its own world, but they are part of a greater multiverse where those with the power can travel between parallel worlds (like how grownup Anti and Anocillus can drop into Dynazenon's world). Which opens the possibility for all these characters to team up in an MCU-Avengers/DC-Crisis on Infinite Earths style grand adventure.

To all the perverts buying horny Akane PVC figures: I salute you for singlehandedly funding this project.

This time, the horniness is provided by the busty and curvy Mujina (who is clearly the best parts of Akane and Rikka's proportions combined as one).
Surprisingly still no Mujina figures yet, although I've seen announcements for Yume, Chise and Gauma figures on GoodSmile Co.

Sharp-eyed toku fans who watched Syber-Squad might have wondered why nobody in the Neon Genesis Junior High team turned into "Drago," the dragon robot that "Servo" used to combine with. Turns out, that omission was on purpose. Because Studio Trigger didn't just decide to make a sequel to SSSS.Gridman. They're making a universe.

Amemiya Akira mentioned in a March 2021 interview that he wasn't able to fit in the dragon robot (called Dyna Dragon in the original) into SSSS Gridman's story then. So when the decision was made to do another instalment, he decided to use it for Dynazenon.

Quote:
Take protagonist Yomogi. He's going through a lot of adolescent ennui because his mother is dating again and he's not cool with her new boyfriend. Is she widowed? Divorced?

This is brought up in Dynazenon's accompanying voice drama 2.2, which reveals that Yomogi's mom and dad divorced some years ago. Dad lives elsewhere now, but sometimes they meet up for meals.

I don't remember anything about Koyomi being bullied by that girl in middle school? He saw her smashing windows right?

My understanding of repeating "dynazenon" is that it has to be in that chanting singing voice. It is those parts of really playing into those silly elements that really pushed the show, along with willing to focus on a sneeze or eating a churro.

The three things a toku show needs for their hero:

    1. A brass section
    2. The hero's name mentioned somewhere, be it in the lyrics or the choir
    3. ...

The original Gridman had the "Gridman! Baby dandan!"

The series that tends to repeat its title a lot in the song is definitely Saint Seiya.
