I finally got a Switch because of this game. While I enjoy New Pokemon Snap, I find that I can't play much at a time because it gets kinda tedious. While it's nice to see Todd, I find the other human characters annoying. Most of the time I'm thinking, "Shut up and let me take pictures damn it!" any time there's a cut scene. Sometimes photo evaluations feel like they take forever with Mirror's exclamations of "Nice!" or "Great timing!".
The other issue I have is that the Pokemon don't seem nearly as responsive to the items you use as they did in the original. Most of the time the new Poke flute doesn't do anything and hitting a Pokemon with a fluff fruit is very inconsistent. I wonder if there will be DLC in the future? |
