Even Rohan? Come on now, I get you don't like it, but you should give the others a try instead of dismissing them. Not all of them are Polygon CGI.

This is Studio Wit who's made some very impressively visual shows over the years like Ancient Magus' Bride, Vinland Saga, and Kabaneri among others. This isn't even a CGI show.

This is Studio Wit who's made some very impressively visual shows over the years like Ancient Magus' Bride, Vinland Saga, and Kabaneri among others. This isn't even a CGI show. |
You're talking as if netflix is an anime studio or has a personal anime studio, and you're forgetting that Wit has done CG work to. Studios are just hired. But that aside I do think this Netflix hate is too much. They're remaking Thermae Romae with original author onboard and even adapting The Way of the Househusband.

I feel like most of the hate comes from not streaming anime to the western audience. I’m sure if Netflix did stream anime, I’m sure it would compete against funimation & crunchyroll.

This seems to me the most interesting out of other newer shows coming out. Fortunately quite stacked with great staff. Hype!

Actually, besides those 2 bland screenshots of the 2 MCs, we don't actually know the overall production values of the series, so, in regards that aspect, no one can't really say it looks good or awful.
I like Tetsuya Nishio as an animator, but as a Character Designer, that's another story... If you didn't know this was an original series and saw those images (of the 2 MCs), you would think that they came straight from a Boruto's episode, for better or worse.
Also, production values aside, if we go by the basic premise of the story they provided us, frankly, the series sounds lackluster and uninteresting. We got 2 girls, we got friendship, 2 difference races in odds with each other, and (what I believe is be the worse aspect) the power of music... until this point Macross has been one, if not the only, series to pull off this type of premise.

I know that Wit is a great studio, but those two bland looking screen grabs don't match their usual quality. I trust Wit, but hope Netflix is not cheaping out by giving the studio a low budget.
