This is a very touching story which is only three volumes in length. (at least for the manga) It doesn't try to force itself beyond its legs, and manages to feel very authentic to its setting if unambitious as a narrative. If there was one complaint I had, it's that it doesn't really need to be an isekai.

As I read the manga synopsis, and then the review, I kept wondering about that as well. To me it seems that the whole isekai aspect is basically not even a factor in the manga from the looks of it. It doesn't seem to be touched on hardly at all. She just gets hit by a car, wakes up as a toddler, and moves on with her life. So why have it then? The only reason I can think of is because it's the popular sub-genre right now so they had to throw it in to cash in on that popularity.

Perhaps it is for future events. So she has modern technology knowledge, which she can use.

My theory is that it was an easy way to make her obviously more mature from the start without that pesky growing up stuff.

Having read some of the source novel, I can tell you the isekai aspect is hardly a factor. I suspect it was meant as a subgenre hook, but the focus is mainly on shoujo-style romance.
