That's pretty cool, actually. I remember when I watched the series and they mentioned SXSW I couldn't believe it. As a huge music (and anime, obviously) nerd that made me happy. Now seeing that they are actually going to perform in the actual event is pretty awesome if you ask me. Wish I could go...

They even used the official SXSW logo. I wondered when I saw it if it had been licensed by the production committee. I'm used to seeing product placements by instrument makers like Gibson and Yamaha in anime, but SXSW was a surprise. I wonder how many people in Japan have even heard of that event. I do recall hearing that Waggaki Band made an appearance there some years back.
