I'm way behind then I should be with this adaption but I am glad the show would be continuing. I had good feelings from watching the first couple of episodes, and I am thinking reading the novel series later in the month.

Nice. One cour does not seen like enough time to tell a more complete story. Ascendance of a Bookworm is one of the best anime of this season, and I am glad we are getting more.

Hooray, we are getting more! I was freaking out a little that it would be 1-cour and that's it, but now I can breathe a bit easier, knowing we'll be getting more in the spring!

Best news I've heard all week, but not a surprise; the series is apparently at least relatively popular in Japan.

The anime is slowly rising but the LN at least is doing well on Bookwalker. |

Are we finally getting past the point of light novel anime shows only getting one season?

This is not just the best anime of the season, but probably the year.
The anime adaptation has some problems that makes it weaker than the manga or novel version, but the material is still strong enough to deliver the strong story well enough to topple the field of mediocre anime of this year. |

On top of the series just being popular, Episode 1 kinda implied they were going to cover up to Part 2. Happy to know it's soon.

It would be weird to finish the anime without introducing the male lead

The one anime that I can think of that is an adaptation to a light novel and had more then one season was Aneko Yusagi The Rise of the Shield Hero which I consider to have two seasons during it's run time. Plus there is a sequel coming next year that would be continuing the story. Otherwise, if that is the case this is indeed a good thing. I am of the opinion that studios should finish what they started instead of leaving things incomplete (even though I know adaptations are generally made to help boost the sales of the source material). |

There are several other examples aren't there? SAO, Overlord, Log horizon, Danmachi, SNAFU, Highschool dxd, etc. It's just that LN adaptations typically get 12/13 episode seasons i stead of 24/25. |

Least in the case of ReZero part of it was just the fact that there wasn't enough LN material yet for the 2nd season until this year. |
