They did switch to digipaint in Season 2? At least it looks like digipaint.

Since Sentai have the license to the old ones, maybe they will get this one, though if you want a complete cast reunion, Funimation would be ideal as they would get Spike Spencer back. It will be weird to hear Hilary Haag as Dortin again, as it is nothing like her other roles.

Another reason season 2 is considered weaker than the first. I do remember two random episodes from season 1 were actually digital which was odd, maybe to try it out for season 2.

Ironically this suffers of current animation. For this like this is that I don't want a new season of Slayers.

I really hope they follow the light novels.
Don't get me wrong, one of my favorite parts of the old anime was the back and forth dialogue of the dubbed characters (Normally I go for the Japanese, but the banter just translated so much better in English), but the anime dragged out Azalea's storyline whereas the it's only one light novel.

Season 2 is by far weaker than season 1, in every way...there is no debate there.

I'd love to see the old cast come back to do this one, but I don't want Funimation to get it. Not of fan of Funimation's packaging or them as a company in general...
