Hasn't Funimation got enough shows already?

Nope.

People outside the Anglosphere disagree.

Yes, but some people love monopolies.

Well unfortunately for you that's still only about 16 simuldubs and they have been doing at least 18 each season lately so be prepared for a couple more at least. Based on that announcement they did last week I dont think it will be much longer before they have everything in place to be global.

Well I guess its a good thing I live in the USA then.

Also to be honest I wouldnt mind if they switched some shows with Sentai, as it stands Im probably only going to watch maybe 4 shows they have.

Rather they have this phantom monopoly than most other distributors.

That still likely won't include where I live, Wakanim has no reach here and Funi won't profit from including an obscure Eastern European country with a language that's only spoken here, since they can't sell blu-rays here, at least not without a loss. And they probably won't change their already existing licenses to include other regions. I hope I'm wrong of course.

Thought so.

I wonder how many of them will pop up on AnimeLab, given the new deal. I know a couple of shows have been announced, just the deal plus the spike in shows over the summer season (though, ugh, simuldub only for some), is making it promising...

Psycho Pass 3 should be one of them I would guess.

As an avid boardgamer, I am really happy to see this one get picked up. I really thought this one would be ignored. Not often when I can mix a couple of hobbies together. Very Happy

Having read the first two volumes of the manga, I absolutely adore this series! It's essentially K-ON! meets Shut Up & Sit Down, so I couldn't really think of a better combo of themes for my tastes.

Having just started a subscription to Funimation last season, I will say that I'm not 100% happy with their subtitle formatting, at least with how it comes through on their PS4 app. The subtitles can get especially confusing and have some bad timing when there's a good amount of on-screen-text and dialog going on at the same time, like in last season's Dumbbells. But in the end I'm just happy that SOMEONE picked up After School Dice Club. I was getting a little worried that it wasn't going to get licensed, that maybe the use of real board games might cause some stupid US copyright issues. Hopefully the subtitles aren't too distracting. And on the plus side, since they're dubbing it for stream that is hopefully a good sign for an eventual Blu-ray release. Anime smile

You can change the subtitle settings from your phone or the main site. (Not the xbox or playstation apps though)
