Hope it's a good price drop. I want a Switch, but I have no interest in it as a portable so i really don't want to pay full price when I'm only using half the features/hardware. Just give me a traditional console and standard controller.

I personally hope the cheap version is just a handheld console cause I have no room from another traditional console.

I can see the appeal of a portable-only Switch, especially since this year a new Pokémon and Animal Crossing will launch, and those games are well suited for a portable experience. If a had to guess how the model will look I'd imagine it'd be similar to the PS Vita.
However, Nintendo recently announced that they have no plans to show a new Switch revision in this year's E3, though they could show it in a Direct.

Gonna echo the desires for a portable-only Switch. I don't have room to plug anything else in, nor do I want to deal with the rest of my family when I wanna play something.

Excellent. Pokemon Sword/Shield is the only thing I'm interested in for the Switch (the mainline Pokemon games are literally the only reason I buy Nintendo handhelds) so this is great to hear.

I'd buy a $200 "normal home console" version that wasn't designed to be used on the go.

A portable only Switch makes a lot of sense. Even when I'm at home, I feel like I rarely plug my Switch up to the TV because it's too much trouble to switch HDMI plugs, so I just tend to play it in portable mode a lot.
