If this isn't trolling i don't know what is. The United States has literally demanded for a 24 hour Adult Swim block for decades and Canada gets it first? Wtf??

Well if it’s an April Fools Prank, why announce it? Unless they want us to be pranked for almost a month. If it were prank, you do it on the day of and then be like April Fools.

Keep in mind Canada's Adult Swim =/ = US's Adult Swim.
Most of the Canadian block has basically amounted to a dumping pile of whatever things Corus got the license for but couldn't be bothered to find a place for.

Corus doesn't have the interest to do pranks. They almost certainly would wind up getting CBSC complaints anyway.

They'll probably at least finally get season 5 of Samurai Jack.

I am hoping Adult Swim get it own channel and split from Cartoon Networks. They can increase Anime catalog.

Well it does say "Adult Swim in Canada will mirror the programming and brand voice of the acclaimed channel in the U.S". Sounds like it won't be just a dumping ground anymore.

The press release says that it's going to be delivering new programming "day and date" with the US, so we know at the very least it will be more than a mere dumping ground on Sundays and the rare time they premiere an original series on any other night of the week.

That seems like a very good bet.

Even Viceland Canada couldn't escape being a dumping ground. Best case scenario, they just run a lot of movies and marathons of Fox cartoons.

Actually Canada celebrates April 1st one month early kind of like Thanksgiving.

Nah, it'll still be a dumping ground. Just now the in-house AS originals won't be years (or decades) behind. There's no way you won't see random cartoons from Quebec on the schedule. The only anime I think are realistic is the Blade Runner CG thing and the FLCL sequels (the original has never aired on Canadian TV) because those are shows Williams Street is directly involved with. This wasn't mentioned in the press release, but it also wouldn't surprise me if the adult oriented DC animated shows and movies move over from Teletoon (which aired the first part of Young Justice S3 this year), too.
Corus branded channels rarely go out of their way to acquire the licensed content that airs on their U.S. counterpart. Sometimes it's because another player has already snatched the show (Mike Tyson Mysteries has never, and likely will never, air on Adult Swim Canada because Netflix grabbed it) but most of the time it seems like it's just more money and work than they'd like to put in. Toonami in the U.S. is a curated lineup from a variety of independent distributors. That's a recipe for Corus apathy.

Is it possible to have Toonami programming for the upcoming Adult Swim Canada channel?

Imagine, at least six or seven hours every day, of bumpers making fun of your taste in programming.
