Found a leaked translation of the synopsis!
"A guy who's kind of rough around the edges. A lady who's kind of aloof. Is it possible that these two totally different people could fall for each other?!" Jokes aside, I have varying degrees of fondness for her stuff, so I'll definitely check it out. |

Why does that synopsis remind me a lot of Ranma 1/2... Shit now I feel the need to rewatch Ranma again. |

Here's hoping her new story doesn't run around in circles for years on end. That is what soured people on Inuyasha which ironically enough did have a pretty good ending. It just took so long to get there and faked out too much on building towards a resolution of "Okay, this time for real, The love triangle between Inuyasha, Kagome and Kikiyo will be resolved, the Shikon Jewel will be completed and Naraku will die. I mean it seriously this time." People just stopped caring.
Or it could just get no real ending at all again like Ranma 1/2 and Urusei Yatsura did.... |

"And the aloof girl keeps smashing the rough guy over the head with furniture! And a handsome rival arrives...with an embarrassing secret! And a wisecracking kickass tomboyish girl arrives, who everyone first keeps mistaking for a boy!"
Because Inu-Yasha reminded you of Ranma 1/2? And Ranma 1/2 reminded you of UY? And....bits of Maison Ikkoku reminded you of UY and parts that were later used in Ranma 1/2? And...I haven't seen Rin-Ne, so I don't know how much of Inu-Yasha it'll remind me of? |

Can't wait for her new work, 2 decades later, Ranma is still in my top all times so i wouldn't mind "another" Ranma like but i was expecting a Ningyo shirīzu like, this one didn't get enought love.

I would love for Takahashi-sensei to do another seinen series, but not this time, I guess

I definitely have a fondness for her work ever since watching Inuyasha way back on Adult Swim. I like her character designs quite a bit.

I'd really love for this new series to be in the same vein as Maison Ikkoku!

I enjoyed Rinne and am glad she actually gave it a proper conclusion. I've never read to the end of Ranma 1/2, but I do know it had a non-ending. As for Inuyasha, I hated Kagome, and even though I liked it in the beginning, at some point I dropped it and only went back to see how it ended.
Looking forward to see what new zaniness she'll throw at us. |

Please, please, PLEASE! Take a break from long-form stories! Make some more short stories, I beg of you! If any of you guys haven't read some of her short story collections, do it! Her short stories are really where it's at, it's almost a shame to pump out 40+ vol series that repeat every few volumes when her short stories are just THAT good!

It's nice to hear that the manga legend Rumiko Takahashi is still working.
Everything by her should be animated. |
