Tragically, the one man we truly needed to do Bowsette art, Kenya Suzuki of Galko-chan fame, has thus far not done any.

There have been breakout characters and breakout fan characters before, but it seems like the amount of art this has generated is just like, three days, may very well be unprecedented - and friends of mine who have done their own art have seen something like 10 to 20 times their normal activity in a single day. Just seems like the right combination of things everybody likes, one way or another.

This is even spreading onto other Mario characters like Chain Chomp, Bullet Bill, King Boo, Blooper, and even some of the Mario RPG character. Bowsette is by far the most popular though

In 2017 there was Earth-Chan. Now in 2018, it’s Bowsette. Congratulations internet, now everyone wants to bed Bowser.
It’s almost impressive how much of a meme and content was spawned by just one comic. Like the amount of work I’ve seen of Bowsette in just 2-3 days is so crazy, it’s like every single one of my favorite artists is jumping on board the hype train. |

I think it being based on an actual new item in a game, and the story of another game, helped make it more intriguing - rather then just being a random gender bend, it's like, "Hey, isn't that what WOULD happen?" |
