They should do what the US does then. Here we have extended versions for Home Release for a lot of TV Shows. If the "original" is longer, that should be the version used for streaming and home releases and not the cut version. Streaming has no "time" restrictions. Poor excuse.

Sadly, sometimes these cuts were not chosen correctly. In Fox Spirit, for example, during a flashback to when Koko was captured by some humans a certain event happens.
spoiler[ The younger one, who had a very ugly scar across his face and looked really evil approached the captured and helpless Koko and goes to grab her. Koko things abck about what another fox spirit told her, how men could be very cruel to women. Because of that Koko believes she's going to be raped and in desperation her power awaken. She impales the boy with her hand before he has a change to touch her. However the boy never intended to harm her and was only reaching to remove the sealing talismans placed on her so she could escape. In the original Chinese version, before Koko attacks him he said "Quiet! Don't make a sound". This part was cut from the Japanese version. Up until that point Koko spoke normally, but after she kills the boy she stops talking completely, choosing to converse through telepathy as to not make a sound, since that was the last thing the young boy told her. Yaya would later imitate this.] So because of that cut the Japanese fans don't really know why Koko and Yaya talk like that and assume it's just what powerful fox spirits do. |

I dont ever remember Crunchyroll asking me if I preferred the JPN audio or version. Hate when companies make decisions for me a paying customer. Awful service.

Have to agree, there is no time reason to edit the streaming editions or the international BD's.
We got mad at Japan when they did this, so now it is China's turn, I guess. |

What is the original language version of the show? Shouldn't that be the one which goes international?

It really annoys me that every time I'm interested in one of these Chinese anime I only have the Japanese dub available. At least I don't have to deal with the Chinese hardsubs though, I guess.

That's really unfortunate... I really hope we get the original Chinese dub/uncut version. I was really happy to see The King's Avatar available legally for free, subbed in English on youtube. Even if it's on a paid service like Crunchyroll, which I do have and no doubt many others, I'd love to have more animation available from China or even Korea. There's definitely an audience in the English speaking world for that kind of stuff, just look at how popular comics from Korea from LINE and Lezhin are, and that we have translated Chinese light novels available from Qidian. Cross that over to fans who exclusively only watch animation and you're just waiting for a hit to land!
