It was rumored by Japanese fans to have been her after a DBZ merch-related commercial was posted on Amazon Japan's Twitter.yesterday. It has since been removed but was already reposted by other people and for those interested, the video in the link above (posted before the confirmation) is also subbed.

Good to see it confirmed and I'm sure she'll do fine. Always liked her Ami (Sailor Moon) and her other roles like Yohko Mano (Devil Hunter Yohko), Ryoko Balta (Tenchi Muyo GXP), Lindy Harlaown (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha) Sonia (Saint Seiya Omega), Storm (Madhouse's X-Men anime) & Baron Ashura (Robot Girls Z).

Hisakawa is a really great choice. She's one of the best in the business and has a similar voice to Tsuru.

Huh, I expected them to go with someone younger/newer. I'm not complaining, of course, Aya Hisakawa is a great choice.

I guess it was inevitable that she would be recast. Good to see that everyone likes the choice, though.

No complaints here. I can only think of a few veteran VAs who can hope to do Tsuru's rendition of Bulma justice Hisakawa being one of them

Excellent choice; as others have pointed out she's from the same generation of seiyuu as Hiromi Tsuru and has played many other classic characters.

That's the replacement I imagined and hoped for.

Would be inappropriate, especially for a character who is already in her mid-40s. Nevermind that she's 50 at the end of Z. (Then about 56 in GT.)

Wow, this is probably the best recasting ever! I was kinda expecting Shimamoto Sumi or even Inoue Kikuko, but heck Hisakawa Aya is perfect fit for Bulma! Now I had one reason to look forward to Dragon Ball's future releases.

We all knew this news would come one day, now it's here. Great choice. Aya has voiced some of my favorites in anime and games (or at least did a great in her roles). There shouldn't be a problem with Bulma.

I think it's great they decided to go with veteran seiyuu Aya Hisakawa. She may not be voicing her character in Sailor Moon Crystal, but at least now she's been given the opportunity to be a part of an equally iconic anime franchise. Hopefully everyone on the Dragon Ball Super set welcomes her on her first day in the studio to voice that character.

Best of luck to Hisakawa-san! Let's hope she makes Hiromi Tsuru proud.

I was honestly expecting Sumi Shimamoto to be the replacement, but I'm not complaining. I've heard Aya as Sailor Mercury and Unohana before and she really made those roles iconic (only wish that Bleach's anime had continued to the big reveal for Unohana). Aya Hisakawa will be a great Bulma.

Probably the best, tied with Takumi Yamazaki replacing Kaneto Shiozawa as Aries Mu in Saint Seiya, and Gray Fox in Metal Gear series.
