Episode 1
Well, the previewers didn't seem to care for this nor does there seem to be much positive said about it by posters, but I liked it. I'm not familiar with the work of Junji Ito so I had no expectations going in other than I long ago learned to realize that "horror" anime rarely delivers on Western-style horror conventions (shock!). I kinda dug the offbeat humour and I liked the creepy visuals. Will definitely continue to follow. |

I liked the Uzumaki and Drifting Classroom mangas (even if they went silly in places), but I couldn't even get through the first episode. It was just painful and dumb.

I just hope we don't stick with the creepy kid the whole time.

I don't think we will. Seems like this is going to be a very episodic show.

Episode 2
I think that two stories spread evenly, that seemed to have an actual horror end, made the second episode much better than the first. |

Episode 12
Honestly, the Souchi stuff is usually the kind of not great, since they tend to ultimately avoid the kind of truly gruesome disturbing stuff that can make others stand out. But was interesting that we had a crossover of stories. Hmm, wondering if this was the last episode. The ecyclopedia says that there are 14 episodes, but there were not no preview for what chapters would be next time. |
