The manga has a certain charm to it. It's no masterpiece, but it makes for very enjoyable reading. The anime stripped away all that charm and was basically very hollow compared to the manga. It was basically just a representation of many of the plot points of the manga without any of its soul.

Obviously is not as great as the manga because it had its original story in a way. In the anime, the flat girl is stop trying to steal the protagonist after she got discovered while in the manga, she is like the antagonist trying to ruin the protagonist relationship and steal him away even after she got discovered.
