I'm going to miss the original director for this. Hope the new one can make this worth watching.
The PV looks good so far though. Really hyped for this show after the announcement years ago!

I suppose I should be cool with this new anime as long as it does not ruin the 2011 show.

That’s some great news. The new director doesn’t exactly inspire confidence though, directing Qualidea Code and the Super Sonico anime. Their assistant director credits are a bit better but that wasn’t going to supersede my other concerns.

I'm so ready for this. 2018 is going to be a great year for anime.

Been wondering when the announcement would come - that's fantastic. The same studio, White Fox is making the new series. I thought the Steins Gate 0 visual novel was as good if not better than the original.

Please get a Funimation simuldub with J. Michael Tatum!
Also for those wondering if it’ll ruin the main TV series: it won’t. I played Zero on PS4 and it was freaking awesome. UNLESS the possibility that it’s a single cour, which would kill it in a heartbeat.

I doubt it will be a single cour, considering how complex the game is. I'm guessing it will be 24-26 episodes, like the original.
BTW, on the extremely off chance someone with the appropriate influence is reading this, this and the original Steins;Gate would be very good fits on SyFy.
Really looking forward to this. TUTUROO!!

Chaos;Child is much more complex and longer, and we already know how that ended.
I want to believe that Chiyo would make sure that at least his holy cow gets a proper treatment, but the choice of director is already a bad sign...

I'm very eager but I'm not really sure how they're going to do it. Compared to the more straightforward nature of the original I can see 0's plot being very hard to adapt. In particular two problematic parts are (big spoilers but trying to keep it vague)...
The big thing is that to do it without heavy revisions would require halfway through aborting all the story progress to that point and going in a completely different direction. I have no idea how they're going to address that without completely killing the show's momentum halfway through.
The other main issue is Kagari. She's very underbaked as a character compared to the rest of the cast anyway, but then you've got the bizarre twist for the sake of it with her and Yuki.
Still have no idea what the point of that was narratively.
