The best games and character lists are filled to the brim with fujoshi series and even worse F2P Money Pits, while the former just makes me ask where the industry went wrong, the latter is disgusting, the sooner the F2P mobile industry crashes or the business models become illegal like what may happen in the US, Australia, and some parts of the EU, the sooner Japanese developers can have a gaming renaissance and make real games on consoles, handhelds, and PC like the good old days.

Was hoping Kemono Friends would be #1. At least it made the top 10. Glad to see NieR in the list. Kingdom Hearts should be there as well. Dem seiyuu's. As expected.

What do you expect when 90.9% of the respondents are identified as female.

It sounds really funny the way the article says 2-dimensional characters, because some of the characters on the list are truly 2-dimensional in more than one way.

But if you're two-dimensional along more than one axis, you're actually three (or more) dimensional...

Intended demographics aside, this definitely was not a very balanced survey if it was over 90% female. I would say the same if it was mostly male. I would think it would be balanced if it was at most 55% female and 45% male. Then the gaps wouldn't be too far apart.
