Man, that really sucks for Umaru and Yuki Yuna fans. I wish Amazon wasn't so content with splitting up sequel seasons like that. Confused

@Blankslate
That's exactly what I was thinking! I was slowly scrolling down the list hoping not to see GARO. This means that FuniRoll probably has it or is going to grab it and just hasn't announced it yet. This is great because Caitlin Glass would probably be devastated if she didn't get to work on the new GARO show! Smile

Also, the announcement failed to mention that they have that Shobitch show.

Just 8 new shows added this season. I guess this means that Amazon is not that interested (at least not yet) in taking over the anime market. I hope things stay the same moving forward. I am cool with Anime Strike streaming around 10 titles per season, but 20+ shows per season should be streamed by Crunchyroll.

As someone who hates Amazon and Strike, this is great news! I'm surprised they only have 8 titles though (including the 2 run-overs), didn't they have 12 last season? I mean I'm not complaining, I just hope this becomes a trend instead of saving money for more licenses later.

Hmm... interesting that Amazon got less titles this time around. I also hope that this becomes a trend and that they aren't just saving money for more licenses later on. (Though the more I think about it, the more I doubt that because Amazon has loads of money that they can blow whenever they want.) At least from this news, I can be glad that they didn't get Two Car as I'm looking forward to that one and I hope that Crunchyroll got it.

It would REALLY HELP if you post links to the source. I can't see it on AnimeStrike's Twitter account, nor on Amazon or AmazonChannels. I looked at amazon.com/animestrike and their banner is still using Summer 2017. Not to mention, their interface is convoluted as f---. Please post a screenshot of the source if you can't provide the link. Thanks.

Also, Sentai announced that Shobitch (or whatever that garbage is called) is going to stream on AnimeStrike in the US, so I am doubting this news.

Quote:
HOUSTON, TX, September 28, 2017 –Sentai Filmworks’ announced its newest acquisition for the Fall 2017 season: My Girlfriend is Shobitch. The series will soon be available to stream in the U.S. on Anime Strike, the curated on-demand anime subscription from Amazon Channels.

EDIT: The announcement is not on their Facebook page. Unless, Twitter and Facebook pages are now geo-blocked, I'm wondering where ANN pulled out this news.

Sentai already announced it'd be streaming on Anime Strike (http://4NN.cx/.121981) - looks like Amazon just didn't get the memo for that one.

While I certainly agree that it'd have been nice for ANN to give a source for this (I also cannot see anything about these shows on any of AS's social media feeds or on their channel on Amazon) but reality is that all of these shows have practically already been announced for streaming.

You have a point, I wonder if they mailed ANN or something, because I can't find any sources either. It's especially questionable because ANN omitted Shobitch, which has been confirmed by Sentai to air on AS. I'm not saying ANN are wrong, because most of these were confirmed already and obvious, but it's slightly weird. I guess ANN made a mistake and forgot about Shobitch or something?

The danger in it is that people are suddenly claiming that "Two Car" and "GARO:Vanishing Line" are already safe. I know that AnimeStrike posts their entire line-up in just one-shot. If they actually posted the schedules and the full line-up then it's almost sure that CR will have both "Two Car" and "GARO: Vanishing Line".
