Oh. Oh no...

And here we all were hoping Sentai had cut ties with AS and moved on to HIDIVE...

Edit: Here's to hoping they will stream on CrunchyRoll to those "certain other countries."[/quote]

Hey, I know a lot of people are going to be upset and mad about this, but I'm happy that the show probably got a lot of money from licensing fees.

Edit: This just means that Sentai and Amazon payed the most money to get this title, it's as simple as that.

Damn, another season to be ruined by Anime Strike. If ever I see a day when Anime Strike has been scrapped, I will try not to disturb my neighbours at work with my joy. Can't say I'd be too upset if Sentai disappeared either. They've been annoying me for a while now.

By the way, I'm Canadian so Anime Strike basically means "$&%# you! You can't watch this!"

yeah...Sentai has been annoying me too for a while as well:

coming into my home uninvited
raiding my fridge
sleeping in my bed
having their way with my significant others

can't you see Sentai, I'm an entitled!
Stop what you're doing and be more kommunistic.

I am looking forward to this one although from what I've heard from readers of the original Web Manga is this will basically just be "Suffering: The Anime" so mark me down as doubly excited.

It has more going on than just that. It's an interesting adventure series to the core.

Welp, cross another anime I was interested in off the list. That's okay; the busier I get, the less anime I'll be able to watch anyway.

Man, and I thought I had it bad with them not doing what I wanted them to. I feel very sorry for you and after hearing what they did to you am even more determined to see them destroyed.

Just to note, I don't feel entitled, I just don't like them dealing with Amazon and hated TAN.

This is assuming that post was directed at me (I do feel entitled to have posts directed at me by the way).

Good for Sentai. This and other Sentai shows are going to Strike because Amazon is probably giving them a lot of money. I am not going to begrudge any publisher for trying to make as much money as possible.

That being said, hopefully Sentai only sends 3 shows to Strike and 5-6 go to HIDIVE.

I thought that maybe from the first announcement that Sentai was maybe going to use that Amazon money from last season to stock HIDIVE with new content since the first announcement indicated a HIDIVE stream. Apparently, that won't be the case.

I know Sentai probably needs a serious influx of cash right now, but seeing several shows get put behind a double paywall got old pretty fast last season.

Putting HIDIVE on top of AS, prime, and Crunchyroll would make things even worse : \

Not really. Considering Sentai put at least one of their titles on Anime Network every season, and HIDIVE is replacing them and is 3.99 to Anime Network's 6.95, if you wanted to get all of Sentai's pickups, you are saving money. One might pay more if they have thus far avoided Anime Network and HIDIVE gets something one wants, but HIDIVE playing Anime Network's role of getting the scraps of Sentai's pickups is still a significant possibility, so in all likelihood most of those affected are the ones getting the (pretty much) everything package of streaming sites, who are as mentioned earlier, saving money on the shift from AN to HIDIVE.

If they're content with launching a new platform for bilge like Frame Arms Girl, great? I just don't see why they'd go through all the effort and not give anyone an incentive to sub to it.

^Their main draw right now is Legend of the Galactic Heroes, so they may be going more for older shows than duking it out with the bigger names for (a lot of) simulcasts. But that is neither here nor there for this discussion.

It shouldn't forgotten that 3.99 rate is an introductory price that is bound to change at some point.
