YATTA!!!!! No more 4 years of waiting for new season. If we geta new season every year then I'm totally fine with them being only 12 episodes xD

It surely will. They adapted the 16-chapters Clash of the Titans arc into 12 episodes. The next arc, the Uprising arc, is 20 episodes long will certainly be adapted into 12 episodes too. And then, season 4 would adapt the next arc (still ongoing). |

Fantastic. I want season 3 to be two cours, but I would gladly take one cour, especially if it is as great as season 3. And I did good in watching episode 37 first before checking ANN.

I just finished watching the latest episode spoiler[and that scene with Ymir telling Christa "I'm sorry" and then go on to save Reiner and Bertholdt had me in uncontrollable tears. That scene would not have worked so powerfully on me if the show didn't develop Ymir as such a deep character.
] In my entire life, I have never cried so uncontrollably from watching anime. Did anybody else feel the same way? |

I like the Ymir-Christa dynamic but spoiler[Ymir leaving her to help Reinhart and Bertholdt left me confused. I mean, she provided a rationale for it (she didn't want them going back empty-handed and she feels some sort of gratitude towards them for a reason I don't quite get) but it didn't feel very satisfying to me. I think I would have been more emotionally invested in the decision for Ymir to leave Crista if it involved some sort of sacrifice on Ymir's part that made sense to me.] |

This promo pretty much confirms that season 3 will be 2 cours long. Why? It showcases the covers for volumes 13-22 of the manga and after them it says season 3. I have heard that the manga may end in early 2018 so what if they adapt the rest of the manga in season 3? I do not expect this until Fall 2018.
