do any know if or when claymore will be released for region 1 on DVD i would rely love to see this in English

The series has not even been licensed yet for R1, and until it is nothing will be known about the release date for its first DVD. It's a major enough series that it will certainly receive front-page mention when it is licensed, however, and it will also be mentioned in the Encyclopedia entry.
