lol I almost mistook this for Kakegurui- Compulsive Gambler. The students have on the same red uniform, there's a female with black hair in the visual, and the synopsis is similar aside from one being a boy and the other is a girl.

Hmm after sitting here comparing them for several minutes I'm not seeing it sorry. Kakegurui's art style is very different, same with the tone and the general personality the characters put out from their visual. The school uniforms are similar but still have notable differences, for example Kakegurui's uniforms have a lot more usage of black, have a pretty distinct skirt and pants pattern, and they don't a have big puffy ribbon that is a bit like a bow-tie. Also the plot summaries have supposedly elite schools in common? That's pretty much the only similarity I'm seeing there, if anything Yōkoso Jitsuryoku's plot summary reminds me more of Assassination Classroom, mostly the "rejects" class that is our main characters, but I might be missing the mark completely there.
Lastly I think Kakegurui probably has more defined noses in a lot of the art.
Anyhow I'm looking forward to seeing how both series turn out tho.

That moment when I can't no longer tell whether such visual and synopsis indicate a drama, comedy, gore, survival, harem, etc. etc. as every light novel now seems to want to offer twists which have actually become common while aiming only for the look/appearance/or just how cool it looks.

The plot of "advance techniques for the most promising students while the problem students are lumped together in a class relative to their lower grade" is Baka and Test except this clearly isn't that show as their problem class is "D" while Baka and Test still considered that a passing grade so they went full "F".
Right, different. Also, their protagonist wasn't the brain who miffed the entrance test, he was a 100% pure blooded idiot who belonged in class F.
Right, completely different. Also, while "Welcome to the Classroom of the Supreme Ability Doctrine"... should be "School of"... could work from in any genre from comedy to action horror like, to name a random franchise, "Battle Royal", its shortened form of "Yo Jitsu" in no way assumes fighting is involved like the "Test" in Baka and Test. Why does Jitsu sound familiar?
Right... well, the art's different?

Hmm when I seen their uniforms I instantly thought of when supernatural battles become commonplace.

Another one of this crap. This looks like one of those cheaply animated media that would just sell under a thousand copies after the season is over, and no one will remember in a year. This one would probably have 10 episodes. **sighs heavily**

I will be honest with the following: as long as there's ample fan-service, I could be indifferent on how good of a story it is.

Thanks you not seeing the word "almost" and then giving a full indepth analysis when it was just on a basic level. You took several minutes to compare them. It took me 5 seconds because it wasn't serious. I said red uniforms and you mention the black among other things. Lmao

Announced two months before the TV airing?
It will probably have 5 minutes episodes then.
