Gonna say this again, because ANN headlines always hedge on ACen's location: This is in Chicago. Rosemont is basically the east side of O'Hare airport. It's not out in a midwest cornfield somewhere.
That said, what's interesting is that May'n is best known for a role that will never be legally available here, thanks to the legal problems with the Macross franchise in the West. Macross Frontier is one of the few times I've personally gone outside of legit channels to watch something. I absolutely love the music in Macross Frontier. Such a shame the franchise is never going to see the light of the day here in any official capacity.

I hope in the coming years that ACen releases its international guests appearance quicker. I already ruled out ACen this year and planned something else on that weekend since I hadn't heard anything other than Nabeshin and Tooru Furuya

Glad to see May'n visit the US again and visiting more conventions. She's really talented in speaking multiple languages. Hope someday to listen to her in person!
I agree. But thankfully we can buy directly from Japan, even though we very likely will never see a Dub of Frontier or Delta. spoiler[ (Gawd, hate to see what HG would do if they got their claws on them. Could imagine something stupid like renaming them Robotech: Generations).] And like you pointed out in your link, the music is available on Itunes, so there is nothing HG can do since they don't own the music rights. Hopefully soon they will be allowed to bring Frontier and Delta to the US without issue. Seems things aren't going well for the Robotech movie as they still haven't moved into Production, and Sony had to start completely from scratch. Plus it's very likely they got scared with the failure of the GitS movie and might drop the project. |

I saw May'n at a solo concert in Namba Hatch a few weeks ago and was impressed how much energy she can put into a full length show.
I hope that anyone who wants to can get to see her at ACEN. |
