I hope for a new faithful adaption of the manga. The late 80's OVAs are pretty good (Not Amon), but they never cover the full story of the manga.

If this adapts the original manga I will lose my mind. Netflix's Castlevania was already great news but this would surpass it.

I know Vertical has been asked several times about this and they said before they could publish Devilman Dynamic Pro wanted to release Demon Lord Dante. To which Vertical was like, uhhh no.

Though I swear some company did license a Go Nagai related manga recently, but I can't remember who. Ah yes it was Cutie Honey a Go Go! which is still not from Go Nagai himself...

Discotek Media will probably release the OVA's one day. I hope that Kodansha Comics USA will pick up the rights to the Devilman.

Not really. That's the basic premise of the original animated TV series.

That wasn't Discotek's doing, that was paid for by TMS themselves, just like with Lupin Part 4's dub.

I hope for a 2D animated series. I would love it if Mad House got the rights to animated Devilman.

Bruh, if such an old title recieves a faithful adaptation with solid production values and presentation, I would be very happy.

I don't know.

I've always had mixed feelings about Devilman. I absolutely love the premise, but I've always felt kinda iffy with how everything turned out. (Especially if you consider its sorta sequel, Violence Jack.)

Still, I'd be very interested if Netflix or some other company made a new live action adaptation. The 2004 adaptation definitely wasn't good, but I couldn't exactly hate it either.

Personally I hope the blood and gore will be on the same level as the manga. If they tone down the violence, at least I hope the home video release will be uncut.
