Wow. Right before the BD release in Japan.
Added that for you. No Christopher Ayres as Kei. One has to wonder how Kadmos feels about that. Last edited by KH91 on Mon Feb 20, 2017 2:22 am; edited 1 time in total |

I've really been looking forward to this. I hope it becomes available in other regions soon.

Just a heads up in regards to the English dub. To anyone who has Netflix, go report a sound problem on the movie so the dub can be fixed to have Laura Post & Cristina Vee's performances.
Netflix's quality control somehow let the English dub made by Japan several months ago slide into the film, making those 2 performances get replaced. It's obvious once you hear how they pronounce names & their acting is so flat and unfitting compared to everyone else. Every other voice from the US dub is clearly there except for those 2 who stand out as Japanese natives speaking English. Both Laura and Cristina have tweeted out about this problem as well. |

It should be available in some other regions already. I live in Belgium and was able to watch it. |

It's Scott Freeman who's in Jail. Illich never served.

Just finished watching it now, it was a lot of fun. Visuals and action scenes are incredible, I wanna see the staff involved do more stuff like this. Were a bunch of contrived moments for suspension's sake, and the characters fell flat due to their backgrounds and development having to be skipped for time's sake. Nishi and Anzu in particular were pretty annoying. Also would've liked to have seen more of the Tokyo Team and one enemy they skipped. The other stuff they skipped was probably to the movie's benefit.

Oh wow, that's really weird. Been looking forward to seeing this. The CG in the trailers was incredible. It seemed to get good impressions so if it's indeed good hopefully they do make more. |

Let's keep it on topic folks. Did some cleaning up to keep the unneeded OT debate out of here.

Damn... this complicates things. Now I won't be satisfied until I get my hands on all version of the dub. It sounds like there are now 3 dubs?
1) Japanese produced international dub 2) US English dub directed by Bob Buchholz 3) Whatever is showing on Netflix, which sounds like some weird combination of the two? Wasn't there some Japanese live-action film where they wouldn't allow one of the actors to be dubbed over? As in, it was part of the license contract that that character could not be dubbed. I don't remember which movie that was now... Have we seen anything absolutely confirming that Laura and Cristina really recorded for this movie? Maybe they were prevented from doing so because some contractual restriction like I mentioned. In that case, there is really only 2 version of the dub and only the credits and cast list are wrong. Cristina said "I'm not in the version that they have up on the site," which seems to imply she did record for some version (but maybe one we'll never see). But Laura said "Dunno why my name is in the credits," which almost seems to suggest she didn't record for this at all. |
