I'm down with the girl in this PV. Nice sweet motherly voice, in my opinion.
Anyway, I welcome this with open arms. Whether it turns "sexual" or not, it sounds very fun. And she's not my mom anyway, so it's not wrong for me to think she's hot.

Actually when I wrote that post I hadn't listened to the PV yet, but yeah, the female narrator of it is very much along the lines of what I expected, voice-wise.

It's actually pretty sweet a manga (Ane Naru Mono, not the DJ though as I haven't read it so I don't know) as far as I've read (I read it a while back so I can't remember too well, but I only just learned that it's the same artist. No wonder I liked their art!) Plus an ara ara big sis monster is pretty great. It's cute seeing how she starts to learn about what normal life is, and has to learn not to kill stuff even if it's something that makes her brother sad.
the artist is good at ara ara's, gotta say

This sounds wacky and hilarious. I, too, wish that this gets an anime adaption some day.

This sounded like it's going to be a great read, though I'd prefer to have it animated instead and hope that it can receive an adaptation someday. I'm genuinely not surprised at all to see some people that saw this and quickly associated it with sexual innuendo, rather than positively thinking that the work in question might serve a purpose as a good, family isekai adventures.

When this becomes an anime I'll watch it together with my mom.
True story.

Thanks. No wonder why the light novel art looks familiar.
I'm amazed that the artist got leeway to do both the clean serialized version and the adult doujin version of Ane Naru Mono. And never has a cthulhu Elder God looks so cute and sexy.

Yeah, I thought the artwork looked kind of familiar. Who would've known that I've read a couple of their doujin. Good stuff. Some of the best artwork in the business, frankly. A good variety of various set ups though, definitely not just shotacon stuff. And doing past porn work doesn't necessarily mean that whatever he does now is going to also be sexual. Given the artwork, it's hard to imagine it not being, but eh, who knows. I'll be happy with it either way as long as it is written in an interesting way.

Right, so there are absolutely no grounds to claim the title was translated wrong without the author specifically clarifying it. Though we do know here the mother does actually refer to herself that way, we still don't know the perspective the title is suppose to be taken from.
myskaros wrote: | The other problem is simply there is no possessive pronoun in the Japanese title, it's, more literally, "With a normal attack that attacks at full power two times, do you like mom?" The implication is that she is asking it herself, I believe, based on ad, so more like "do you like me?" |
There being no possessive in the Japanese title means nothing though. You'd never have one there, but that doesn't mean you wouldn't have one in a translation. In Japanese, your relation to the speaker and the choice of the word for mom already make it clear without needing a possessive. It would be like saying ATM machine.

The premise has "win" written all over it, but then again, so did Sao and that wasn't handled deftly by the author.

I don't know what you'd call the "mother" equivalent of loli, but from what I've seen, there is rising interest in stuff like that in Japan. It will be interesting to see if it becomes a fully-realized trend, but it doesn't surprise me at all that something like this sold very well nor would it surprise me if we see more of the like in the future. |
A most welcome development in my book. Just imagine if the Monogatari franchise had an arc with Mamaragi

The voice is about what I expected too. That said, it should be Yuko Goto and pretty much like this:

At this point that "Transported to another world" as you put it has become a genre. Just like you'll see thriller's coming out every day, you'll start seeing them same for this. You might not like them, but you're just part of a small group that doesn't. Might as well get used to it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ |
How do you know it's a small group? Certainly, there are a good amount of people who like this premise, but it is most certainly not mainstream. It might be later, but not presently.

Well, they've been trying incest in various flavors for a few years. Maybe this is the most recent kind.
Kill la Kill and Pokémon Sun and Moon both have mothers who are unusually...affectionate with their children, I'll say that much.

That statement fits very well with your avatar.

Well, that's because the artwork on the cover makes it seem like such. Yeah, we're judging a book by its cover, but when it's that outrageous, it's hard not to make assumptions.
