The 30-centimeter sold gold bust weighs only about 11 kilograms? That's really light. I would've expected at least 25 or 30 kilograms.

For those interested in the math, a single cubic inch of gold weighs 0.7 pounds. Just a single square inch column as high as the bust (30 cm = 1 ft.) would weigh 8.4 pounds (a bit over 3.8 kilograms). If that stated weight is correct, the entire bust has less gold than a 1.75 x 1.75 inch column the height of the bust's tallest point.

But the article says it's solid, which is why I'm so confused over the bust's weight.

It says it is "solid gold", which simply refers to it not being simply a plating, overlay, or veneer of gold, but instead entirely gold.

Oh, is that what it means? I always thought "solid gold" meant it was gold all the way in, with no hollow parts or bubbles.
