Boruto: Naruto the Movie already covers all current chapters, so I guess there's no harm in it (though I admit, I expected them to go DBS route and turn the movie into TV series).

I'm glad it's not ANOTHER rendition of the Boruto movie. I could go a lifetime without ever seeing that story again.

Hoho, what, surprised? Or did you wanted them to recycle the movie first and then canon story, as they´re doing it in the manga now? Maybe this story serves as a bridge between canon content and the movie. Also, it maybe possible that Kishimoto is involed in this, as Ukyo Kodachi also help writing the movie. "Men, this is gonna be bad, I was tired of the fillers they threw last year and they are doing it again?" Yeah, that stupid close-minded argument about fillers is brought back again. (sigh). I´ve heard a thinking that says: "You´re a true fan if you watch only the manga content. The fillers are trash". If that´s what means being a fan of this franchise, I might as well not talk with them. You are a true fan if you watch the good non-canon content as well. Have we forgotten the good non-canon arcs? Kakashi Anbu? Power? SRSLY? How bad can people be. |

Uhh...pretty sure this is them declaring it's not just going to be a recap of the movie (which is pretty much all the manga is so far) and will have actual new material so not sure where all the "oh noes filler" ideas are coming from. If they were going to be set on following the manga, they'd have waited a couple more years. Best guess is that it'll probably take a few cues from Super and briefly cover the movie, along with some of the existing side stuff Kishimoto wrote before going off to do it's own thing. Personally I'm hoping it also takes those extra cues from Super in being more like it's original counterpart and less like Shippuden. Please, please don't be like Shippuden...

You're right, of course. It's certainly "filler" given the phrasing used in the article, but that doesn't mean it won't be good, or that Kodachi, Ikemoto, and Kishimoto won't be involved. Time will tell. Shippuden has also taken an extremely positive turn with the staff being changed up following the "ending." The adaptations of Sasuke Shinden and Shikamaru Hiden have maintained a high level of quality that we haven't seen since the Power arc, and even the short Boyhood filler arc was doing interesting stuff.
"Original story" (オリジナル ストーリー) is the Japanese term for filler. |

Filleruto lives up to it's name even in it's "Next Generations"...
Anyway I bet the filler arc is gonna be 2-cours at the very least, than they are gonna redo the movie arc with some extended scenes with cheaper animation of course, and than we shall see 1-cour based on the manga and filler again. Yup, seems right. This is the future of Filleru--- Boruto xD |
