Another sequel to hype up the Spring season. If only there's a NEW promising show coming this Spring but Kabukibu is the only promising new title. Those complaints aside at least this is something I can look forward to since Natsume is one of the few decent slice-of-life shows airing in this modern age of anime.

So many deserving shows don't even get a second season. Let alone six. Jesus christ. I never watched it. Is it that good? What is so appealing about it? Make me want to watch it. Because 5 seasons in 3 months? It has to be amazing. xD

No hate or offense by the way. I'm just wondering why.

M8 don't think too much. Just give first 2 episodes of season 1 a try. Shoujo art might feel somewhat off for you (which is minimal anyway) but the OST and the characters are just awesome.

Seasons 1-4 were split cours so it was expected for season 6 to air in spring (since season 5 aired in fall).

What do you mean 5 seasons in 3 months? Season 1 aired in 2008, season 2 aired in 2009, season 3 aired in 2011, season 4 aired in 2012 (and these were split cours) and now season 5 aired in 2016.

I meant for me to binge watch. I know it didn't all air in 3 months.

Incidentally enough, S6 will debut before the final four episodes of S5 being released on BD. I'm hoping that S6 will be a proper season this time and not a ten episode airing with the last episodes as BD only.

That's way too soon! Good for them for those who are waiting.

I've watched the first 5 episodes of season 1 and was not impressed. Do you think there is a "stuffs getting real' episodes or I should not bother to continue at all?

If you didn't like the first five episodes, you will probably not like the rest. The series remains remarkably consistent throughout in tone. It develops a bit more ongoing plot as it proceeds but no high drama or serious action.

The exorcist episodes tend to be a bit more dramatic, as well as the episodes that delve more deeply into Natsume's past. There's nothing preventing you from skipping through episodes that aren't doing it for you to get to ones that suit your tastes better, since it's a fairly episodic series for the most part.

But every episode has something to say, so unless it's really not your thing, it's good not to skip them, as they can subtly inform subsequent episodes and the development of Natsume's various friendships and conflicts.

I'm so delighted not to have to wait for this until fall. Natsume is probably my favorite anime ever. But I'm always afraid to sit down with my disks, because it's so hard for me to stop watching it and I'll marathon all five seasons before I know it (and still feel like starting over again when I'm done).
