The plot sounds terrible and the style makes me want to wash my eyes with bleach. I might have to try this one. I enjoyed how awful taboo tattoo was.

Yes. It might surprise you but some of us like the show and even think it's good. An opinion being shared by an overwhelming majority doesn't make it an objective universal truth
I'll expand on what I like about the show.
I like the premise of people with powers fighting each other and the winner pair getting to fight God to have a wish granted. I also like the OST and think the show looks great. I like almost all of the characters introduced, the exception being the main pair (Tazuna and Koyori), who are so generic I can't like them, but I don't hate them either, so I don't mind them. I really like the main pair's gear powers and I absolutely love the huge gearsword
Overall, I'd say this show's quite decent, even if it's not AOTS material right now
I don't expect you or anyone else saying the show is bad to be convinced and change your opinions. I just want you aware that people like me with opinions like mine do exist.
And we're 100% serious and 0% ironic about it

everyone has their own tastes. but I watched the first episode last night and thought it was horrible. I found the animation choppy and the cg cringeworthy. but there's anime I love that others hate. don't get bogged down in opinions and let it ruin something you like.
