Maybe this will be a never-ending franchise like Yu-Gi-Oh

Well, as long as this franchise keeps on selling cards in Japan, I guess I'll keep watching.

To be honest, this new entry is underwhelming to the original. Not enough craziness and edginess in my opinion. Its story has pretty much ended so I assume the upcoming season will have a new set of characters.

^ lol funny I thought it was a lot better. First story felt dragged on. Didn't need to be 2 parts.

I just wanted to make note that it is NOT a spinoff. It's a direct sequel and at least one of the characters specifically was in the first story line (as a really minor character, but still). It makes a lot of direct references.
I hope they can keep up the quality S3 had. Was a lot better paced with more relatable characters.

Although the second season has been my favorite so far (the facial scar-licking scene continues to be the most memorable moment of the franchise for me) it's hard to deny the appeal of the new season's more grounded tone.

Who didn't expect more WIXOSS is the question.

For me, they should had just kept it going with an all female casts. The additions of males make room for more variety but it was largely distracting for me, but I'm so bias.

TBH i am dissapointed with the newest season, the protagonist is really bad compared to the previous series, the story plus the antagonist is so boring. I hope if they really decided to make another anime series they will start with new plot and characters

alongs as their anime series dont suck as hell and gets reduced to a crappy kids show ala YGO and cardfight vanguard , i really dont care at all cause at least the wixoss series have a hell of a better storyline and support cast that are very likable, especially in the selector series where most people liked yuuzuki as a support character.
UNLIKE YGO whose characters are more or less been bonifide otaku bait for 18+ otaku doujins which is why, just like with pokemon IS the only reason why some fans outside of little kids give a damn to the franchise at all ,especially for the franchise's previous two series , 5D's and zexal. and from the looks of things, the new series will be using the same kiddy formula which isnt a good thing.
while its true that the wixoss TCG will never outduel YGO's TCG let alone the king of trading card games, magic the gathering, at least the wixoss anime series are a hell of a lot better than the YGO anime series let alone any anime series that are based off of trading card games.
